The best part of any Medical Camp is the lives of the people we are able to touch. During our Mega Medical Camp at Sonave Tribal Village, Aanandi Dalvi and Dattatray Kini were among the 36 poor patients shortlisted for FREE CATARACT SURGERIES. These operations would not be possible without the support of Jivdani Devi Mandir Trust and Mahatme Health and Happiness Hospital.
In a conscious effort to increase Blood and Platelet Donation Awareness, a drive was conducted at the Rizvi Hotel Management and Catering Technology College, Bandra (W) on 28th January 2015. The drive touched the hearts of over 150 students, who came forward to donate blood and register themselves as platelet donors. A meaningful presentation on the importance of platelet donation was given by the team of doctors from Tata Memorial Hospital.
We received an overwhelming response for our Free Surgery and Medical Camp at Sonave Village in the tribal belt of Saphale on 17th January 2015.
Approximately 350 Men, Woman and Children benefited through the Mega Medical Camp which included General Health Checkups, Eye Checkup and Free Cataract Surgeries, ECG, Woman and Child Health, Breast Cancer Screening and Free Medicines.
NDMCT initiated a Mega Health Camp which are an on-going initiative at Sonave which has enabled us to document what kind of health interventions are needed. On the occasion of World Cancer Survivors Day, the Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust in association with BNH HCG Cancer Center, showcased the movie ‘ Hawaa Hawaai’ to celebrate the spirit of our young cancer crusaders.
Approximately 200 cancer survivors and their families participated in the event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.
We received an overwhelming response for our Free Surgery and Medical Camp which was held on 23rd February 2014 at Thakkar Bappa Colony in Kurla (E). Approximately 1800 Men, Woman and Children benefited through the Mega Medical Camp which included General Health Checkups, Eye Checkup and Free Cataract Surgeries, Dental Checkups, TB Screening, ECG, Woman and Child Health, Breast Cancer Screening and Free Medicines.
It was a day of shared joy for us and the families of nearly 1500 differently-abled. At our disability camp on 16th February 2014,672 hearing aids, 749 Mobility Aids (Wheelchairs/Walking Sticks/Calipers/Braille Slates) and 8 Fabrication were distributed free of charge to assist our differently-abled into independent living. Approximately 400 individuals benefited through the Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust Free Surgery and Medical Camp which was held on 9th February 2014 in Bandra (E). The camp included General Health checkups, Eye checkup and free cataract surgeries, Dental checkups, TB screening, Woman and Child care, Breast Cancer Screening and free medicines. Free surgeries for heart, kidney and cancer upto 1.5 lakhs were covered under the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana.
On the occasion of 'World Cancer Day', the Nargis Dutt Foundation in association with Richfeel showcased the latest Mahabharat animation for over 120 young cancer crusaders and their parents at the Nanavati Auditorium on 4th Feb 2014.

Our Disability Camp in Dec 2013 touched the lives of over 700 individuals from different categories of disabilities. Seeing the positive difference that we were able to bring about in the lives of others, we were motivated to conduct yet another Disability Screening camp, in association with ALIMCO, A.Y.J.N.I.H.H. and Jagrut, on 28th January 2014 at Chandivali, Mumbai.
