Life doesn't halt anymore after darkness falls in the hamlet of Borichapada in Sonave village. NDMCT is very happy to brighten the lives of the tribals in Sonave village.Sonave is one of Maharashtra's first villages to receive free electricity through solar power. The lives of approximately 200 villagers have been touched through this project.One of the most fascinating part of this project was that the villagers came forward to help in whatever way they could. It was a complete community effort that made this project even more special.Special thanks to Shri Anil Kaishik from Anil Kaushik Samajik Pratishthan without whose support this would not have been possible.

With the sole aim being to protect the environment and promote alternate and public modes of transportation, the Car Free Day was arranged at Carter Road organised by the KBS Foudation under the Patronage of Smt. Priya Dutt and Shri. Baba Siddique .It was a fun filled day where children, youngsters and senior citizens could walk, run and cycle freely on the main Carter Road without the fear of any traffic.
While the world coagulates at the Sangam to wash off their sins, hardly any one bothers to give a thought about cleansing the revered Ganges itself. With the motto of ‘Green Ganga, Clean Ganga’, Priya Dutt joined hands with Guru Chidanand Muni in the cleaning process.
The Inner Wheel Club of Mumbai along with Shri Sant Gadge Maharaj organized a cleanliness drive in Gazdar bandh, Santacruz West during the early morning hours of the 15th December, 2012.
Students in large numbers from St. Elias High School, S.S. Sahani High School, Kamla High School & Bikaner High School accompanied by several citizens of the locality participated in the drive.
The students personally visited homes of the residents of the locality and on a one to one level explained the importance of maintaining a clean environment in and around the place we live.
John Abraham and Priya Dutt attended the Mumbai Car Free Day 2011 event organised by the Khar, Bandra, Santa Cruz Residents' Association at Carter Road.
The initiative was to observe a day when no cars are allowed and people either walk or cycle in the area. Toon characters Ben 10 and Bheem were also present.
