There was much excitement and happiness in the tribal village of Sonave, as approximately 250 children received their certificates of completion for the one month computer training program that they attended. The free computer training program was held in association with Budhelia Foundation.
Over this past month, the children learnt about the various uses of excel, word, power point and paint. What we found fascinating was the ability of the children to quickly pick up the nuances of a computer which they had seen for the first time.

It was a day of celebration for the residents of Kalina who will now finally have their own market, with the issues surrounding its five year stop -work being resolved. Met Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, the residents of Kalina and the vicinity fisher folk to resolve this matter.
This had been a very sensitive matter for the Kalina residents as there was no market in its vicinity and the fisher folk were sitting on the street outside the market. The fisher women too had been on a chain fast in protest and for the market work to start. Today theirs and the residents of Kalina’s struggle came to a fruitful end.
